Shared Branching
As a convenience to our
members, UGI Employees FCU offers nationwide access to our members by participating
in Shared Service Centers. The Shared Service Centers are credit unions
that have opened their doors to members from other credit unions belonging
to the network and allowing them to conduct business on their accounts as
if they were at their own credit union. Perhaps you don’t live near your
credit union or you just enjoy traveling; now you will be pleased to know
that you have access to over 3,900 branches to perform any of the
following:
-
Make deposits or withdrawals from your accounts
-
Transfer funds between accounts
-
Make loan payments
-
Balance Inquiries
When visiting one of the
shared branches you will need to tell them you are a member of UGI Employees
FCU, your member number and have a valid photo id. Once you give the member
service representative this information they will be linked automatically to
your account here at UGI Employees FCU and you can conduct business as
usual. There are no fees involved, so enjoy your new locations. It really
is that simple. Keep in mind all credit unions have their own hours of
operation, please be sure to contact each location for their hours.

Your credit union decides if they wish to charge you a transaction or usage fee for these transactions. The CU Service Center location will not charge you unless you are purchasing an item that has a fee attached to it such as an official check, money order, etc.
What accounts will I be able to conduct transactions on?
In most cases, you will be able to conduct transactions on savings, share draft (checking), money market, and loans.
What are the differences between a CU Service Center and my credit union?
A CU Service Center is an extension of your credit union. Your credit union can process loan requests, open IRA and CD accounts, and makes changes or additions to your membership. CU Service Centers only process teller transactions.
What information do I need to bring with me to conduct a transaction at a CU Service Center?
In order to conduct a transaction at a CU Service Center you must bring your credit union name and member number. Additionally you must present a non-expired, non-mutilated identification. You will also be asked for the last four digits of your social security number. If your ID does not match the address on the system, you will also be asked to verify your current address.
What forms of identification are acceptable?
- US or Canada State Issued Driver’s License
- US or Canada State Issued Identification
- Passport
- US Military Identification
- Alien Registration Card or Green Card

Your ID must be current (not expired) and in good condition (not mutilated).
What if I forget to bring my member number?
CU Service Centers do not have the ability to search for your member number. In the event you forget your member number, you may request to use a courtesy telephone at the CU Service Center to call your credit union.
What if I forget to bring my identification?
Current identification is required in order to process any transaction at a CU Service Center.
What if I don't want to provide the last four digits of my social security number?
CU Service Centers are required to ask for the last four digits of your social security number to help prevent fraud. You may want to write these numbers unmarked on your transaction form so the teller doesn’t have to ask you for that information out loud.
How long does it take the transaction to reach my account?
Transactions conducted at a CU Service Center appear immediately on your account. There is no time delay.
How can I find a CU Service Center?
There are over 3,600 CU Service Centers nationally and internationally. Locations can be found on the web at www.cuservicecenter.com or via telephone at 800-919-2872. You can also download locations from the website to your GPS unit to assist while traveling.
What information can't I get from a CU Service Center?
CU Service Centers cannot answer specific questions about an account, conduct any type of lending, open new accounts or services, provide information or conduct transactions over the telephone, or order checks. Please contact your credit union directly for such items.
Is there going to be a hold placed on my CU Service Center deposit?
CU Service Centers do not place holds on deposited items. It is your credit union that decides whether or not a hold will be placed. You received a “Funds Availability Disclosure” from your credit union sometime in the past, most likely when you opened your account. This document tells you about holds on deposits. Please contact your credit union with any questions you might have regarding funds availability.
Can I deposit a third party check at a shared branch location?
Third party checks can not be processed at any shared branch location. A third party check is a check written by one person, payable to a second person and endorsed by a third person.
Please keep in mind that policies at shared branches may differ from those at your credit union. These may include but are not limited to:
- Amount of cash you can withdrawal from your account
- Types of transactions differ from your credit union to each CU Service Center
- Completion of deposit and withdrawal forms
